Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all operational functions related to the safe and effective operation of the Security, Safety/EMS and Loss Prevention Departments
Ensure that proper staffing levels are maintained to effectively operate and service the resort
Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures
Ensure ongoing development of Public Safety personnel to achieve a high performing team culture
Process and coordinate all claims for general liability, worker’s compensation, and auto damage; work closely with designated third-party claims administrator
Conduct pre-employment and background interviews and assist in the pre-employment background screening process for all resort employees
Responsible for maintaining and promoting a “Total Safety” culture for both Guests and Team Members 
Present for and participates in resort and corporate conference calls as required 
Responsible for oversight of resort-wide CCTV system, including design, equipment procurement, installation, and maintenance 
Manage resort-wide access control (visitor screening, keys, locks, electronic systems)
Responsible for oversight and maintenance of records retention program
Maintain assigned inventories (radios, keys, etc.)
Conduct and coordinate required facility and equipment inspections (i.e. fall protection equipment, life safety equipment, ride inspections, 3rd party inspections, etc.)
Conduct required investigations following accidents, incidents, injuries, etc.
Plan and articulate both short and long-term goals to ensure the company's initiatives are met 
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the capital, expense, and labor budgets as they relate to the Public Safety Department 
Formulate action plans and analyze data/trends to drive continuous performance improvements and incident reduction 
Responsible for the oversight of restitution and recovery from all external and internal loss prevention cases 
Serve as “Manager on Duty” as assigned
Serve as ADA Coordinator for the resort
Serve as “Incident Commander” during critical or emergency incidents.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans as outlined in the Emergency Response Manual and Safety Reference Guide. 
Act as primary liaison with outside emergency service agencies (law enforcement, fire, and EMS) and regulatory agencies (DOL, DOH, DEC, EPA, OSHA, DMV)
Provide and coordinate training, to include specialized training such as de-escalation techniques, SAVE, and active shooter response
Collaborate with all members of leadership on operational challenges specific to but not exclusively security, safety and loss prevention 
Perform, supervise and train staff to conduct audits of facilities, ride operations, processes and equipment
Plan and coordinate required and optional drills across the resort (MCI, ride evacuation, table-tops, active shooter)
Skills and Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Must possess and maintain, or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire, a NY State Security Guard license
Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
For safety purposes, the individual must be able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
Be available to work flexible hours at nights and on weekends within the limits of applicable Federal, State and facility labor laws and guidelines.  Position is required to be “on call” for emergency situations.
Ability to lift over 50lbs
Must have Security, Safety, and/or Loss Prevention background with 3 years of leadership experience. 
Must have experience leading teams, building and executing strategies.
A bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Hospitality or related field is required; additional ASP or CSP certification is preferred
Proven ability to handle high stress situations with a calm approach and demeanor. 
• Proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external partners. 
NY EMT certification preferred, but not required
Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the resort as a whole.
Salary Range: $70,000- $75,000 annually
